Researcher Alex Bach explains variation in daily production

Reseacher Alex Bach from Spain explains about his research. He compared 47 farms with the same feed and found 21-35 liter daily cow production! A big difference, explained by 4 main factors:

1. Calving age of Heifers
Best calved on 23 months

2. Stocking density
Best have one bed per cow and one feed space per cow of 75 cm and dry cows 85 cm

3. Pushing up the feed
Best push 10 times per day

4. Left overs
Best have 5% leftovers every day

Do everything right! Good management has a major impact on your cow's health and your income. More tips in Feeding Signals day training June 21 in CowSignals à-la-carte program.
