The only real benefit for the calves is their mothers milk. What is the sale value of this amount of raw milk to the farmer if it was sold commercially? What is the cost of this amount of milk solids if it was supplied from Calf Milk Replacer, assuming this CMR is well formulated?

Powder milk feeding used to be cheaper. However milk price in Europe is down to 26 eurocents, so now milk is very cheap...

Powder milk is always the same.
So is feeding from your own mother.
Both systems can be very successful.
