Have a look at one of the biggest farms in the world!

Professor Li Sheng Li and Joep Driessen on one of the biggest farms in the world, very well managed by the Chinese.

Some details:
- 20.000 milking cows
- 8 rotaries of 80 cows
- 1 barn is almost 4 hectares
- Within half an hour they have the milk packed and shipped
- Top quality milk, low cell count: 150.000.

What do you think of this farm? Please share your thoughts!

Professor Li Sheng Li works with Sino-Dutch Dairy Development Centre (SDDDC), in which Friesland Campina also has a part. More info on SDDDC: klick here

That is amazing! Obviously very well planned and managed. Just curious, as to who owns this dairy?

The farm is an excellent one. Other countries of the world should emulate. Keep it up.

That one barn has almost the same cows as my compleet country.

One can only google at the immensity of this farm as I a New Zealander would say { Bloody Marvelous Venture ] congratulations to the people that had the foresight and balls to do this

Looks good, how many operations like this do you think there are in China?
Last year I had the opportunity to visit a similar operation in the USA that was milking 30K cows at the time with plans to expand.
Their fully controlled almost self contained operation was very impressive.

Where can i get more details about this farm and its machinisation methods? Can someone help me in this?
I Wish and Hope that the developing nations use this model to create a white revolution.

Hi everyone, thanks for your responds! Some of you asked for more info. We'll be posting more videos of this farm in the days to come. Coming up: inside the sheds, the feeding station, the milk rotaries and the calving line. So stay tuned!

Why settle for cell count at 150,000? The newest UdderOne customer called this week to say his SCC is down to 84,000 (a first for his dairy EVER) and he hasn't had a single case of mastitis since switching out his black liners and stainless steel shells to our clear polymer based liners and shell. You can ask him yourself as this is his observation. Wayne Peters, Lake City, Minnesota USA. We are about herd health. We are made with no carbon black, no phthalates and no silicone. Hi Steve, yes we can!! Of course we can do better…. But I know very few 2000 cow dairies below 150.000…… Just because…
Smaller farms are often below 100.000 and that is excellent!
We can always do a better job in housing feeding and milking!! Many factors can make an improvement!

Thank you for showing us such a incredible well organized farm! For me and my region that looks like science fiction! Ist great to know what is possible and how to do things good, but for us and me and for my cows I hope that this is not the only way to go into the future.
