Close up during robot training: why are these cows avoiding this corner?

Darryl Smith from Ontario, Canada is doing a Robotic Milking course in the Netherlands. He noticed that the cows are all avoiding a particular corner in this barn.

His explanation: the walls are too high. This minimizes air flow, is blocking the view and doesn't give enough lunge space.

His solution: lower the wall or replace it with a fence. Also, narrow the walk trough to create more lunge space.
